Widen the Narrow

This 30-year-old house had a long and dark layout.
A small but impactful change—replacing part of the solid concrete wall with a collapsible glass door—brought flexibility, making it ideal for a family that cooks often and hosts large gatherings. This thoughtful update also invited natural light deep into the dining and living areas, enhancing both brightness and visual openness.

To resolve the challenge of low ceilings, a continuous false ceiling with soft, curved edges was introduced throughout the home. This design not only conceals the structural beams but also preserves a sense of height, creating a more open and inviting atmosphere.
